Claims:
Pride Vault makes a lot of claims. These include access to twelve top sites, unlimited access to 1500 movies and over 2400 models, as well as original exclusive content and regular updates. Let’s hope Pride Vault lives up to these claims!
Tour:
The tour at Pride Vault is certainly complex, with lots of text, detailed descriptions and flashy banners informing us of all the wonder gay porn awaiting us inside the member’s area. The top half of the page shows us some of their best sites included in the pass, with a video, some screenshots and a text description, and below this the rest of the sites are shown. If you check these sites out individually, each has their own tour with quite a few preview videos and photos, giving a better idea of all that’s on offer. It would be nice if the Pride Vault tour itself had more preview videos and access to more photos.
Member Navigation:
Upon logging in, the member’s section looks clean, albeit overwhelming. It seems there are now actually 22 sites thrown in with the membership, plus five DVD archive sites. Content can be browsed using the navigation bar across the top, with options to browse via site, through movies and through DVD’s. With so much content here, it’s probably quite difficult to make a simple intuitive way to display everything, so this doesn’t seem a bad attempt.
Models:
We are told there are over 2400 models, and with absolutely no way to verify that, we shall have to take their word for it. It does seem about right, and there could possibly be quite a few more now with the new sites that have been added more recently. With such variety in the sites, it’s not easy to describe a type – basically every type can be found here, from big muscle guys to skinny Asian and Eastern European twinks. If you’re gay and like guys, you’re likely to find more than a few you like in here. This being said, the majority of the actual sites are more twink orientated, although straight, muscular, Brazilian and pretty much every niche is covered.
Action:
Like the models, the action is varied. Asian Boys in Pain has some good Asian twink fetish action, where as Mr Bigs Adventures is more hardcore ass fucking with larger muscular guys. The majority of the action is centred around cuteish European twinks, generally condom free and completely raw. Videos:
There are currently 360 what appear to be exclusive movies, plus thousands of archived DVD scenes. The exclusive scenes can be streamed or downloaded in high and low resolutions. The DVD scenes are WMV’s shown at 640×480 with bitrates around 1-1.5Mbps, as well as a couple of smaller options. The exclusive videos are between 640×480 and 622×350 with a bit rate around 1.5mbps to 2mbps. The downloadable videos are pretty good quality, although the streamed videos are more average. No DRM is used, so all of these videos can be downloaded and watched time and time again.
Photos:
There are no photos at Pride Vault, which will certainly disappoint those who like to hoard photos and those who like to use them to preview scenes before downloading the full video.
Updates:
Pride Vault does not seem to update individual sites regularly. It does however add whole new sites every month or so, which would usually come with 20 or so new exclusive videos. It seems DVD’s are added regularly, although it is not easy to work out exactly how frequently.
Additional Comments:
Pride Vault is a good site, although with so much content it’s easy to be a bit overwhelmed and not find exactly what you’re looking for. The DVD’s are also not exclusive, so some of the claims do not seem entirely genuine. Updates are also not regular, although with new sites added frequently this can perhaps be forgiven. For people after huge amounts of gay porn, and pretty decent porn, Pride Vault is unlikely to disappoint, particularly considering the $1 trial option available.
